We want everyone in our workforce to have an equal opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the community. We are therefore working to break down barriers that prevent women from progressing their careers into senior leadership. We are tackling unconscious bias in our recruitment systems by trialling evidence-based initiatives involving behavioural insights interventions. We are also creating opportunities for high-performing women and diverse employees by piloting career sponsorship programs.
Our focus is aligned with the Premier's Priority to increase the proportion of women in senior leadership roles in the NSW government sector from 33% to 50% by 2025.
