At Port of Brisbane we make sure our interns get to work on real projects
As an undergraduate you’ll have an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting. You’ll join a team delivering engineering projects across a broad range of civil infrastructure, including wharves, roads, bridges and utilities. You’ll get hands on in managing contractors, designers and suppliers in order to contribute to the successful delivery of capital and maintenance projects.

The Port of Brisbane is currently accepting applications for our First Nations Engineering Internship program based at the Port of Brisbane. The program is an opportunity for a female engineering student to find out more about working in an engineering environment
About the Opportunity and Eligibility
This program will run in person, subject to COVID-19 restrictions over the summer period with the potential for continued ongoing work.
As part of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- learn more about who we are and the work we do;
- work on real projects, supported by a team of Engineering professionals;
- get to know our people and build mentoring relationships with them.
As part of the Summer Internship, we are looking for a female intern to join our team. These opportunities aim to build the next generation of diverse and inclusive talent ready for careers in Engineering.
To be eligible you will need to be:
Currently studying a Civil Engineering degree and are female.
