One of our host organisations is also a leading solar/PV organisation that is breaking grounds in this space to sustainable energy. We have the following openings across various host organisations In Australia 

Electrical Engineering Internship – Consultancy 

  • Working across Power transmission and distribution systems including transmission lines and substations projects 
  • In collaboration with varies partnerships and JV work alongside High voltage and low voltage industrial electrical facilities companies
  • Learn and be mentored by Earthing and bonding design engineers and conduct research studies across the fields 
  • Working with specialist teams across Industrial instrumentation and controls systems assignments and be mentored by senior engineers in this space
  • Renewables generation assets including wind, solar and battery energy storage systems

Electrical/Electronic Engineering Internship – Manufacturer 

  • Assist and learn Design embedded electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, schematic & PCB design, board bring-up, and system level integration
  • Learn to troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools
  • Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers, embedded Linux systems, and supporting development & testing tools
  • Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products
  • Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware
  • Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages

Electrical Engineering Internship – Site and Electrical Works 

  • Assist in the preparation of Forecast and constructability of Electrical projects
  • Shadow managers in the commissioning activities with the site commissioning teams
  • Learn to develop ITP and work packs for Electrical installation work packages
  • Check Electrical works, Test Sheets, and signoff ITPs at completion of work
  • Assist the Project Manager with compliance to the documentation required under the Internal Engineering Management System
  • Review and plan the project with the Project Manager to ensure technical aspects of the job are clear and to become familiar with contractual arrangements made with the client
  • Liaise with Construction Manager to ensure the job is on schedule
  • Provide a focal point for all technical based queries for associated subcontractors / suppliers
  • Learn to manage subcontractors / suppliers
  • Overviews the entire project (within disciplines) from and engineering viewpoint while maintaining an open approach to all problems
  • Liaise with design and detailing houses as required
  • Participate in daily pre-start meetings
