Our vision for reconciliation

PwC Australia acknowledges and pays its respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia, whose ancestral lands and waters we work and live on throughout Australia.

As a firm, we are committed to reducing the inequality experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People. In Australia, reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is core to our national identity. We are proud of the contribution PwC has made to date, but we know there is still much more to do.

We continue to bring our skills, expertise and people to the challenge of making positive progress towards reconciliation. Our Reconciliation Action Plan demonstrates that we are continuing to challenge ourselves to do better, and upholding our responsibility to our communities.

Aspiring to be an employer of choice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, we’re living our shared purpose through a commitment to significantly increase our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce. We believe that it's only through a diverse workforce that we're able to create meaningful change.

Another milestone our community is proud of is the launch of PwC’s Indigenous Consulting (PIC), in 2013. PIC is a separate member firm in the PwC global network which maintains an Indigenous majority owned, managed and 60% staffed operation. We like to think of PIC as a partnership between the world’s oldest living culture and one of the world’s largest professional services firms. This two-way relationship built on trust and respect is one part of our story, to demonstrate how we are living our values.
