Queensland Treasury’s (Treasury) Indigenous Scholarship Program is a one year program that has been designed to attract high performing individuals into Treasury to begin developing useable skills and experience whilst undertaking their studies. At the successful completion of the scholarship program, students are appointed permanently to Treasury and become a graduate in Treasury’s graduate program.

Treasury’s 2017 Indigenous Scholarship Program will focus on increasing the agency’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people representation.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking applications for the following disciplines:

  • Economics
  • Commerce
  • Public Policy
  • Business
  • Accounting/Finance
  • Law

The selection of a scholarship holder will be based on an applicant’s resume; an applicant’s interpersonal skills; and the personal qualities that the applicant is able to demonstrate during the recruitment process.

Are you eligible?

Treasury’s Indigenous Scholarship Program is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students entering their final year of study in 2017.

Students applying for the scholarship program must be completing an undergraduate degree at a recognised Queensland University.

All applicants need to provide confirmation of Aboriginality/ Torres Strait Islander prior to or at the time of interview.

To be eligible for the 2017 Indigenous Scholarship program you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or permanent resident. International students are not eligible to apply for the scholarship program.

All nominated applicants will be required to provide written consent to undertake criminal history screening.
