Details about the role
Graduate consultants are responsible for conducting research and analysis under the guidance of experienced team members before helping to transform them into strategic recommendations for our clients. Our consultants are expected to quickly grow into the role of supporting projects, teams, and clients. You will take ownership of your responsibilities from day one and present findings to your project team and the client. Consultants are also encouraged to bring in their own ideas on how to solve client challenges and develop the business.
All new consultants undertake a week long training seminar to get you up to speed with useful skills and methodologies for our projects. Further to this, each year you will undertake a series of soft and hard skill training courses to further your professional development, along with ongoing informal training received during projects.
Our graduates are considered as generalists and have the chance to work across a variety of industries and topics. We work both on the client site and at our Sydney office, the degree to which is project dependent. Domestic or international travel will also be required at times, again depending on where clients are based.
Successful candidates will have above average academic results in a degree with at least some numerate component, including disciplines such as Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Science and Psychology. Demonstrable relevant past work experience or extracurricular activities are desirable.
In addition, successful applicants will have strong analytical and communication skills. They will show a high degree of initiative and actively participate in an entrepreneurial environment. We work collaboratively internally and alongside clients, so team players are vital. A proactive attitude and positive outlook is also required to take on the challenging environment of management consulting.
Our Sydney office opened in 2010 and in recent years has undergone significant growth, above the company’s strong annual growth rate of 18%. Our fast growth means there are plenty of exciting opportunities and responsibilities for graduates to take up.
We work for quite a mix of clients, from large household names to smaller players in the background. Our relatively small team size has fostered a tight-knit, entrepreneurial culture within the office.
