Who is Standards Australia?
We are an independent not-for-profit organisation, recognised by the Australian Government as the peak non-government Standards body. We develop internationally aligned Australian Standards in the national interest and work closely with government, industry, consumer and stakeholder groups.

Our Graduate Program will consist of:
Variety: The program will run for 12 months, on a fixed-term contract. You will spend time in 7 different departments: Standards Development Operations, Product, International Engagement, Stakeholder Engagement, Publishing, Standards Development and Incubator. You will learn about the various departments’ processes, procedures, activities and goals with real hands-on experience, participating in live projects and being a vital part of their success!
Mentoring: We will match you up with a mentor for the entire program. They will be responsible for guiding you through your professional journey and be on hand to answer any questions you may have along the way.
Growth and Development: We consider ourselves a learning organisation, forever evolving and encouraging growth and professional development. As a Graduate in our program, you will be provided with opportunities to develop your skill set, learn new things and challenge yourself on an ongoing basis.
International Experience: We proudly represent Australia on the international platform and have a variety of projects in foreign policy, trade and aid-related activities. This will be a great opportunity to get involved with the International team and possibly travel with them as well.
Feedback: Feedback is very important to us, and we recognise it’s a two-way street. We will provide you with feedback regularly and also want to hear from you, telling us how we can help you to succeed. Who are we looking for?
Graduates from all disciplines will be considered, however, applicants from the below fields of study may be especially interested in our program:
- Arts and Social Sciences

Note: To be eligible for this program applicants will have graduated within the last 2 years or are due to graduate this year. What now?
