Intern Technical Support (Accounting)

Your Role

As an Intern Technical Support, you will be responsible for a wide range of office activities that support, the Production/Technical team for efficient operation of the business. This role includes providing.
database and internal system support.
 
Specific to the Role:
  • Assist the Technical Staff and Team Leaders as required.
  • Responsibility for finalisation of client files, corporate, personal and forensic.
  • Generate finalisation letters to all stakeholders and update Fitware software accordingly and generate a Fin file, extracting all relevant documents from the job file.
  • Calculate write offs, produce a MYOB report and reconcile the account.
  • Maintain counterparties and reconcile accounts where required. Updating and producing MYOB print outs as requested by the Technical Staff.
  • Ensure Fitware is kept up to date on new tasks for matters, template changes, run reports on active matters and assist in the maintenance of any relevant spreadsheet.
  • Undertake general maintenance of the office as requested.
  • Assist in updating/amending company Policies and Procedures when needed.

  • Promote and maintain a positive attitude among staff and clients.
Requirements
  • High level of written and oral communication skills
  • High level of Excel and Word skills
  • “Can do” attitude
Learning Outcomes
  • Develop their skills in other office software we use outside Microsoft office.
  • Learn the basics of corporate insolvency and bankruptcy
  • Establish workplace relationships, formally and informally, through opportunities to build rapport in areas such as teamwork, team lunches, small talk and collegial working
    relationships.
  • Have the opportunities to observe, participate in and contribute to business meetings. These maybe large or small, formal or informal.
  • Have the opportunity to practise a range of professional writing including emails, agendas, minutes, and business letters.
