The purpose of the position is to assist the General Counsel and the Leader Legal Services to provide independent legal direction and advice to the business on its activities as Tasmania's State owned Transmission and Distribution Network Service Provider. This role will enable you to gain the knowledge, skills, commercial and practical experience in relation to in-house legal functions, to facilitate a move to a suitable substantive position within the organisation (or industry) by completion of the graduate placement.
About the Business
At TasNetworks, we own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 285,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers.
To be successful in this role and to become part of our graduate program you will need to have a tertiary qualification in Law and a current driver’s license. The ability to communicate effectively and work well in small teams across many areas of the business. Sound computing skills and the ability to think strategically and manage concurrent tasks and priorities all whilst maintaining a commercial mindset.
