Our 12 week Summer Student Program is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, create future pathways and build professional networks. Within the program you will undertake project work to support the Engineering group and provide support in the development, maintenance and operation of the network (distribution & transmission). As a Summer Student you will have the opportunity to write a report on the work you carry out and present this to your leader to gain valuable feedback, comments and advice.
About the Business
At TasNetworks, we own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 285,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers.
We are on the lookout for enthusiastic, passionate, go-getters who have a drive to kick-start their careers. As a Summer Student you will bring a proven ability to work in small teams, strong communication, time management and interpersonal skills and relevant knowledge of the electricity industry and regulatory frameworks.
To be successful in this role you will need; a current drivers licence, to be undertaking a tertiary qualification in Engineering, good computing skills, a demonstrated understanding of electrical systems and an awareness of relevant Australia Standards.
