As it stands, not every child in Australia has access to the education they deserve. This gap is big, but more importantly, changeable. In these programs you’ll develop key leadership skills which teachers use every day – in their classrooms, schools and communities – to translate their visions into reality.
Choose one of our three Virtual Experiences – Classroom, School, and Community - to build your skills and prepare for the impact you may have on students and communities.
Teach For Australia’s teachers work towards educational equity in Australia, and they have genuine responsibility, autonomy and impact from day one. To be successful, they need strong leadership skills in communication and relationship-building, as well as planning and organisation expertise and the ability to engage and motivate others.
In this program, you’ll see how you can share your passions with students, while building on those real leadership skills. You’ll also gain insights into a ‘day in the life’ of a Teach For Australia teacher.
Even if you’ve never considered becoming a teacher before, you’ll see how teachers’ leadership skills are readily transferable and highly sought after in many other careers, too.
