We have about 36,000 people who are based all over the country and in our international locations; we’re from diverse backgrounds, all with a diverse set of skills and talents. Diversity to us is differences in thinking styles, background and life experience, communication styles, personal skills, education, functional expertise and problem solving skills. It also includes other ways that our people differ, including gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity and cultural identity.

We have many employee networks where you can build relationships, get support and help others too. These include our Indigenous Employees’ Network, our Gender Equality Network (for women and men), our “Enable” network for employees with a disability and carers, and our “Spectrum” network for gay, lesbian, bisexual transgender and intersex employees and straight allies. Telstra Indigenous employees can also join the National Indigenous Corporate Network, which is organised by the Diversity Council Australia.
