Cadet Program

About the Cadet Program (1 to 2 Years)

You’ll have the flexibility to work around your study obligations and can undertake the program in metropolitan or regional areas.


To be eligible, you must be entering the final year or penultimate year of your undergraduate degree at the time of starting the Cadet Program.


Complete work placements in a business area related to your undergraduate qualification for the duration of your Cadet Program.

Hours per week

You need to work a minimum of 14 hours a week during the university semester. You need to work a minimum of 35 hours a week during the summer and winter university breaks.

Future opportunities

You can apply to stream into the Graduate Program when you complete your program.


We’re looking for talent from a range of backgrounds including, but not limited to:

  • Engineering: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Planning, Environmental, Telecommunications, Software and Surveying.
  • Business: Management, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Communications.
  • IT: Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and IT.
