Graduate program 

This program is for people who have completed their undergraduate degrees within the last two years. 

This 18-month program comprises three rounds of six-month rotations, which will see you working in different teams and projects across the organisation. You might build your skills and experience in one discipline area or try something completely different with each rotation. 

You’ll also participate in our structured learning and development program where you’ll have direct access to mentoring, networking events and workshops. You’ll better understand how the NSW public sector operates, develop skills that will help you thrive at work and master new tools and technologies while building lasting relationships within your colleagues. 

By the end of the program, you’ll be able to add three professional placements to your resume. You will have developed invaluable skills and experience to take your career to the next level.

Eligibility 

· You must have completed your university undergraduate degree within the last two years (after July 2021-July 2023). This includes any required industry experience.

· Attained an undergraduate qualification in one or more of the included study areas

· Graduates with overseas qualifications must have their undergraduate degree(s) officially recognised by the Australian Education International Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (AEI NOOSR).

· Be available to commence full-time employment (35 hours per week) starting 31 July 2023. 

· You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident.


Cadet program 

The Cadet program is for people in their second-last or final year of a university undergraduate degree. Get flexible, paid work experience and kick-start a career in your study area. 

You’ll be placed in one team for the program duration, where you’ll get exposure to various projects and build meaningful networks. 

This is a up to two-year program, depending on whether you are in your second-last or final year of study when you join. For example, students in their second-last year will enter a two-year program.

Eligibility 

· You must be enrolled in a university undergraduate degree with an expected completion date before July 2025 (you must have 24 months or less of full-time study as of July 2023).

· Working towards attaining an undergraduate qualification in one or more of the included study areas

· Be enrolled as a full-time student, with a minimum of 75% average full-time study load.

· Able to attend university full time whilst working flexible hours Monday to Friday – at least 14 hours a week during semesters/trimesters and 35 hours a week during university breaks.

· Be available to commence in the program from 31 July 2023 onwards. 

· You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident.

· Surveying

· System Engineering


Work locations

Work locations for both programs include areas across NSW’s regions: 

· Northern region (Grafton, Ballina and surrounds) 

· Western region (Parkes, Dubbo, Orange and surrounds) 

· South-Western region (Wagga Wagga and surrounds) 

· Southern region (Nowra and surrounds)

· Hunter region (Newcastle and surrounds)


 Work locations for both programs include areas across the Greater Sydney region, including Parramatta, Burwood, Macquarie Park, and Wollongong.
