The Commercial & Trading Function supports value creation and value delivery activities in Woodside, including investment analysis, exploration transactions, equity transactions, project agreements, joint venture management, product sales and trading and shipping-related transactions. As a graduate in the Commercial & Trading Function you will receive broad business exposure and the opportunity to contribute to the identification, development and execution of business opportunities through strategy development, investment & market analysis and the negotiation, award and management of contracts.
Contracting & Procurement
The Contracting & Procurement function supports value creation and delivery across Woodside by managing third-party spend. As a graduate in the C&P function, you will receive broad business exposure and development opportunities throughout the contracting lifecycle – Strategy and Planning, Execution and Award, and Contract and Supplier Management. As a graduate, you will be involved in various C&P roles across the different functions and business units.
The Corporate Affairs function supports Woodside’s reputation as a socially responsible operator. Woodside engages with stakeholders and communities wherever we are active. The team manages a diverse range of areas including government relations, media and communications, community relations, indigenous affairs, social investment and sustainability reporting. Graduates will have the opportunity to gain experience in these areas.
Finance and Accounting
The Woodside Finance function provides financial business partnering, financial management and accounting support to Woodside's business. As a finance graduate you will annually rotate through the finance function to build your knowledge of the various aspects of finance and of the Woodside business including Management, Financial and Statutory Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting, Financial Systems and Processes accounting activities. Finance graduates are an integral part of our finance community and the graduate program is designed to lay the foundations for a long and successful career with Woodside.
Health and Safety

As a graduate in the Human Resources function you will receive broad opportunities to be involved in; policy and remuneration, recruitment, employee relations, leadership and capability development and performance management.
Logistics Analysts have an opportunity to effect change through innovation and continual improvement in the dynamic oil and gas industry. The Logistics function safely, effectively and efficiently provide services across Woodside to ensure movement of people and materials are delivered to where they are needed. You will be challenged to provide logistics solutions for offshore, onshore, subsea, drilling and major projects for both our Australian as well as international operations. You will learn from experienced industry leaders, and play an integral role in a global logistics networks that encompasses aviation, marine, materials and facilities management.
As a Graduate in the Quality area, which is part of the companies larger HSEQ function, you will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of discipline areas from Contracting, Procurement and Engineering through to Project Execution and Operations, potentially in onshore, offshore or international environments. The Quality team support the company's strategic direction by developing and implementing quality plans that recognise and mitigate risk whilst driving improvement. Developing and applying schemes of surveillance inspection, validation and verification to support regulatory and company requirements is a key aspect of this role, along with ensuring that quality management systems of suppliers have been deployed effectively.
Risk and Compliance
The Governance, Risk and Compliance team supports Woodside’s strategic direction by helping business areas manage their risk, comply with the law and implement fit for purpose processes. Our graduates and vacation students work in a world class environment that encompasses the full oil and gas life cycle. You will be working within supportive teams and mentored in a range of disciplines, such as enterprise risk, regulatory compliance, management systems, assurance and change management. Sales, Trading and Shipping
The Sales, Trading and Shipping function optimises revenue from Woodside’s portfolio, protects returns from existing investments and provides sufficient revenue certainty to underpin future investments. We do this by securing customers for Woodside’s hydrocarbons in established and emerging markets. Graduates in our function have the opportunity to rotate through the different areas that we specialise in, namely the marketing and trading of Woodside’s (and some third parties’) hydrocarbons to customers and the transportation and operational delivery our global hydrocarbon portfolio, as well as business development activities to capture competitively advantaged positions in new LNG and gas markets.
Security and Emergency Management
Graduates in security and emergency management (S&EM) work with the business to support the strategic direction, KPIs and business processes required to manage emergency and crisis prevention, preparedness, response and recovery (PPRR). In a continually changing risk environment S&EM work with the business to build resilience against foreseen and unforeseen events through the development of plans and procedures and the delivery of training and exercises. They will also develop knowledge in international security, gain exposure to fraud and corruption cases and learn how to apply risk methodology including facilitation of risk assessment workshops and associated processes. S&EM coordinates and maintains PPRR performance internally with operational and non-operational facilities. As a graduate in the S&EM you will receive broad company exposure and the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of Woodside’s efforts to build and maintain business resilience.
