International Students Employability Summit 2017

Summit overview

International student employability is a constant issue amongst universities. As student numbers continue to rise, increased pressure on careers services will build. A lack of capacity to deal with the ever-growing numbers is one of the key problems universities face.

The aim of the International Student Employability Summit is to provide real connections between universities and employers of international students. Through our research, we have found that employers are less likely to target overseas universities where they either don't know who to contact, or where to find information on the students to assess how relevant they may be. However, employers confirmed that if they had this valuable information, over 80% said they would consider an overseas university as our 2016 Returnee Report has shown.

With the aim of bridging the gap between returnee students and employers, GradConnection is hosting the 2017 Returnee Summit to help employers and universities share ideas with each other and building lasting and mutually beneficial relationships.
