During my time of employment I worked within a small office. Initially my role involved basic administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to email correspondence, managing mail outs, data entry and monitoring local media. Once I was able to complete these tasks with ease and had a grounded understanding of how the office needed to function I began taking on different tasks that involved more research, report writing, parliamentary preparation and media. Research and written work is something that I genuinely enjoy so this sort of work suited me perfectly. During my time working as an electoral officer I had a number of successes working with different ministerial offices and writing media. One of my proudest moments when I first started writing media was when the head of media at the Minister for Planning's Office used one of my media releases on a local issue as a template release across the state.
While working at Special Edition I worked initially as a retail assistant and later managing the store. Daily requirements included;\r\n- Stock management.\r\n- Maintaining good relationships with customers.\r\n- Working hard to maintain sales averages.\r\n- Manage inventory's and orders.\r\n- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers.\r\n- Manage orders.\r\n- Train and manage staff.\r\n- Implement MYOB system and ensure that all staff knew how to use program effectively.
