The deal strengthens SEEK's exposure to the graduate market, both from a hirer and job seeker perspective, and enhances its position as a life-time career partner for candidates.
GradConnection operates across eight markets including Asia, North America and the UK and has relationships with over 350 hirers and more than 325,000 graduate and alumni candidate profiles. This, combined with SEEK’s exposure to 2.9 billion people and relationships with over 900,000+ hirers and 190+ million candidates globally, present strong synergies and growth opportunities across SEEK Employment, SEEK Learning and GradConnection, which will be explored over time.
Speaking on the acquisition, Kendra Banks, Managing Director ANZ, SEEK said the move is another example of how SEEK is building deeper and more meaningful relationships with candidates.
“The acquisition of GradConnection allows us to continue growing stronger relationships with young candidates at the outset of their career. This not only allows us to learn more about what they’re looking for, but to also match and connect them with relevant career advice, job and education opportunities at all stages in their career life,” Banks said.
Dan Purchas, Director, GradConnection said “With SEEK’s investment and advanced technological capabilities we are looking forward to growing our digital offering to employers across Australia. The relationship will not only enable us to make more connections between graduates, universities and employers but will also allow both businesses to grow and thrive together.”
