The Automic Story
In 2016, Automic was founded with a strong conviction that a share registry could and should offer more and that technology and service were key to achieving this.
Since then, we have been methodically building leading share registry and governance technology.
While already recognised for having leading functionality, in March 2022 we released the next generation of our registry platform, further raising the standard for what a share registry can offer company secretaries.
This significant software release delivers time saving functionality and an enhanced user experience, making the share registry of the future a reality through capabilities and service not otherwise offered in Australia.
We work with more than 1000 listed and unlisted companies, and we were the leading IPO provider in 2021, with 47% of the Australian market share. Currently four out of five listed companies that make a registry transition are moving to Automic Group. Our vision is coming to light.
Technology is at the forefront of everything we do, and we are on a continuous journey to deliver an unrivalled experience that revolutionises share registry, governance and board management. We are paving a new way for companies to operate now and in the future.
Our service model is also unique in share registry. Our service model is also unique. We have a team of experts in registry and professional services who proactively partner with our clients to support their growth and success.
Diversity & Inclusion

At Automic, we are dedicated to cultivating a safe and diverse work culture. One of our Automic Values is Equality; this is at the heart of who we are and how we operate.
To us, equality means that we are respectful and kind to each other and the people we do business with. We are open to differing perspectives to make better decisions collectively. Kindness and compassion go a long way to encouraging our environment. We intervene if someone is being marginalised. It is our daily actions and interactions that have the greatest impact on each other and the people we collaborate with.
Our employee volunteer group, Automic Impact, shines a light on three key priority areas, one of which is Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. We want to ensure that our policies and programs are inclusive and celebrate the diversity among us, including gender, LGTBIQ+, and multiculturalism.
Cultural Diversity

Every year, we come together to celebrate Harmony Week, where we show our support for cultural diversity in the workplace and throughout Australia. We take the opportunity to learn about one another's unique cultural backgrounds - from family histories to fun facts! We even get to enjoy a delicious potluck lunch of traditional dishes made by the team. This week is all about spreading positivity, inclusivity, and appreciation for the diverse cultures that make up our Automic team.
Gender Equality

At Automic, we are passionate about creating equal opportunities for all our employees. We celebrate women, not just on International Women’s Day, but every day.
We know that gender balance in the workplace positively contributes to our overall performance through greater efficiency, productivity, innovation, creativity, and employee engagement.
While we are proud of our Engagement Survey results (July 2023) which showed that 94% of our employees believe ‘Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are valued at Automic’, we continue to strive to improve gender balance and representation of women in leadership roles.
Women at Automic is designed to foster an environment where women are empowered to thrive through targeted development programs. Executive Presence for Women, a keynote session held earlier in the year for women, focused on:
- Developing an authentic personal presence
- Understanding how to sell yourself and your ideas with power and passion
- Inspiring, motivating, and creating followship
Aimee Cruickshank – Head of Investor Services
Head of Investor Services (May 22 – Present)
Investor Services Team Leader (Aug 21 – Apr 21)
Investor Services Associate (Jul 20 – July 21)
My journey with Automic started during the uncertain time of life outside the first COVID lockdown in 2020. To say Automic was a whole new world for me was an understatement, but from day 1 I felt a sense of belonging. Everyone was welcoming and ready with a smile, where there was always an offer of help if I had any questions even when not in my direct team. Add in the fact we were still in a heavy transition period of slowly returning to the office full time, it really highlights the type of people that make up Automic Group. Throughout my time at Automic, I have been given the opportunity to grow and feel the support of the whole organization to lean on, learn and achieve goals which has eventuated into leading a team. The benefit of working for Automic is the opportunity to be a part of a team that will support you through it all. Combining our energy, experience, and mindset it is together that we can achieve great things. It’s one thing to state ‘Team’ is a core value for a company and another to deliver it, but here at Automic we don’t just deliver it, we truly do live it. After all, ‘good people make good companies’.
LGBTIQ+

We love celebrating Mardi Gras here at Automic! It's a time where we can all come together and create a space where everyone feels welcomed and supported. To show our support for the LGBTQIA+ community, we encouraged all our team members to wear a bright colour from the Pride flag and hosted a small party catered with beverages from Loud & Proud, whose profits go directly to the Pride Foundation.
To make sure everyone feels accepted, we've added a new feature to our email signatures. Now team members can add their chosen gender pronouns. We understand this is a small step, but it's an important one towards building a gender-neutral workplace.
We know that support is key, that's why we offer all our employees and their families access to a 24/7 LGBTIQ+ Connect Line through our Employee Assistance Program. Everyone should be able to be themselves and feel safe in the workplace.
Social Responsibility
We want you to be inspired and proud of what we do as an organisation. Automic Impact is a group of employees that meet to discuss and plan initiatives that create an impact across our three priority areas: Environment, Social, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
Automic Group is conscious of continually reducing our impact on the environment, and we are committed to taking steps to facilitate positive behavioural change for a healthy environment.
In recognition of World Ocean’s Day, some of our Sydney team participated in a beach clean-up with Take 3 for the Sea. In just an hour, 20 Automic team members removed over 30kg of rubbish from the beach.
To reduce our environmental impact on a day-to-day basis, we also encourage our team members to use their reusable Automic coffee cups and water bottles.
