Architecture Internship Program

CareerDC Internships charges a fee for coordinating each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable), and support during your internship.

The 12-week Architecture Internship Program is designed to help international and domestic architectural students in Australia get practical experience with local businesses. 

It's an excellent option for you if you’re looking to get industry work experience and receive academic credit for the internship. 

The hands-on work experience in architecture that you’ll get during the internship placement will help you grow personally and professionally. You’ll experience collaborating with experienced industry professionals and can start forming a professional network.

What if your degree does not require you to do an internship?
Or what if you have recently graduated from your studies?

That’s ok, as you can still apply for the internship program and combine your work experience placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

To give you some examples, the internship host companies include:

• A design and project management firm,  
• An architectural service specialising in town planning, and
• A sustainable urban development consulting business.

Your architecture internship could include any combination of the following types of tasks and experiences, depending on your host company:

• Learning about project management and execution.
• Preparing construction documentation.
• Assisting with the development of design concepts and model-making. 
• Getting experience in designing in Sketch Up and AutoCAD.
• Learning different technical skills.
• Gaining an understanding of the business side of architecture. 

The internship program is facilitated by CareerDC, work experience placement coordinators. We help students in Australia get degree-relevant work experience by connecting them with Australian internship host companies.
