The Architecture Internship Program is designed to help international architectural students in Australia get practical experience with local businesses. 

It's a great option for students who want industry work experience and academic credit for the internship. The internship program is also open to domestic students.

If you have already graduated from your studies or if an internship is not part of your study requirements, you can still apply for an architecture internship placement and combine it with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program. 

To give you some examples, the internship host companies include:

• a sustainable urban development consulting business, 
• a design and project management firm, and 
• an established architectural service specialising in town planning

To give you a further example, your architecture internship could include any combination of the following types of tasks and experiences, depending on the host company:

• assisting with the development of design concepts and model-making, 
• preparing construction documentation, 
• getting experience in designing in Sketch Up and AutoCAD,
• learning how to create models in  ArchiCAD, Revit, AutoCAD, 
• learning different technical skills,
• gaining an understanding of the business side of architecture, and 
• learning about project management and execution

The internship program is facilitated by CareerDC, work experience placement coordinators. The internship will be matched with your internship needs and preferences, including start date and location.
