CareerDC Internships charges a fee for coordinating each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable), and support during your internship.

The 12-week Construction Management Internship Program is well-suited to current students or recent graduates in Australia who are looking for industry work experience and want academic credit for the internship.

The internship program is an excellent option for international students studying Construction or Construction Management in Australia. The program is also open to local students.

The internship program will give you a placement in the industry to help you get work experience relevant to your construction study major. You’ll gain a practical perspective on your future career as you apply what you have learned at university during the work experience placement with a local host company.

If you are a recent graduate, or your degree does not include an internship, you can enrol in the program and combine the placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

As an example, internship host companies include:

  • A design company specialising in carpentry and drywall services
  • A home-building company
  • A longstanding construction company

As another example, your internship could include any of the following types of tasks and learning experiences, depending on the host company:

  • Learning about the day-to-day activities of projects on-site.
  • Assisting with on-site communication with clients and supervision of workers.
  • Assisting with workflow management using the project management app Click Up.
  • Assisting senior estimators in performing quantity takeoffs.
  • Supporting the estimation of project costs.
  • Assisting with construction tenders and methodology.
  • Assist in project planning activities, including scope definition and project scheduling.

The internship program is coordinated by CareerDC. We are work experience placement facilitators. Since 2011, we have helped local and international students in Australia to get degree-relevant work experience.

Apply now with your resume and for full details on how the internship program works and what is included.  The internship program and the internship placement come with a coordination fee.
