CareerDC Internships charge a fee for the coordination of each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable) and support during your internship.

The 12-week Finance Internship Program is an excellent option if you need practical experience in the finance industry and want an internship that meets your degree’s requirements and gives you academic credit.

The internship program is a perfect fit for international students in Australia who want to gain practical experience with local businesses. It’s also open to local students in Australia.

The Finance Internship Program is designed to give you first-hand industry experience and get you to use your academic learning in real work situations. During the internship placement with a host company, you’ll have an opportunity to develop your technical and soft professional skills that will support your future career in finance.

What if your degree does not require an internship placement?
Or what if you are a recent graduate?

That’s ok. You can enrol in the internship program and combine your work experience placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

To give you some examples, the internship host companies include:

  • A company that creates and merges tech solutions for logistics, business, and transport.
  • An established firm of mortgage brokers.
  • A personal finance planning firm.

As another example, your placement could include any of the following types of tasks and practical experiences, depending on the host company:

  • Assisting with financial analysis, including ratio analysis, financial statement analysis, and trend analysis.
  • Learning about and contributing to financial modelling.
  • Learning about the compliance framework and its practical applications.
  • Learning the basics of the financial advice process and the steps involved.
  • Learning about different products and services that are offered as solutions to support financial advice to clients.
  • Assisting with tax, age pension, and other calculations using Microsoft Excel or other software tools.

The internship program is facilitated by CareerDC. We are internship program and placement coordinators. Since 2011, we have assisted thousands of students and recent graduates in Australia in obtaining practical work experience relevant to their studies by connecting them with internship host companies across the country.

Apply now with your resume and get details about the internship program, how it works, and what is included. A coordination fee is charged for the internship program and the internship placement.
