CareerDC charges a fee for coordinating each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable), and support during your internship.

Expand your knowledge and gain practical insights into finance in a real Australian workplace.

The Finance Internship Program is designed to help you get experience and develop your adaptability and communication skills.

The internship program is an excellent option for you if you need finance industry exposure and an internship that meets your university’s requirements, that is, academic credit for the internship.

The Finance Internship Program is a perfect fit for international students in Australia who want to get work experience with local businesses.

If you’ve graduated already, or if an internship is not an academic requirement for you, you can still apply for the internship program. In that case, you will combine your internship placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

To give you some examples, the internship host companies include:

  • a boutique financial planning firm,
  • a customer-centric lending firm, and
  • an established firm of mortgage brokers.

As another example, and depending on your internship host company, your internship could include any of the following types of tasks and experiences:

  • assisting with financial plans,
  • assisting with tax, age pension, and other calculations using Microsoft Excel,
  • assisting with financial statements/reports,
  • writing weekly analytic reports and verbal presentations,
  • assisting with data collection on financial markets and news,
  • gaining practical knowledge about financial markets and developing your product knowledge,
  • involvement in the analysis of financial information and credit reports,
  • learning about monitoring individual loans and compiling periodic reviews and analyses, and
  • getting experience in liaising with clients and attending client meetings.

The internship program is facilitated by CareerDC, work experience placement coordinators. We have over a decade of experience in helping students get practical work experience by connecting them with internship host companies.

The internship will be matched with your internship needs and preferences, including the total length of the internship, start date and location.

Apply now with your resume and contact CareerDC for details about the Finance Internship Program, how it works, and what is included.  A coordination fee comes with the internship program and the internship placement.
