CareerDC charges a fee for the coordination of each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable) and support during your internship.

Apply what you have learned during your degree, put your skills to the test in a real-life work environment and get practical experience in your field of study with an Australian company.

The 12-week Information Systems Internship Program is a great option for those looking for degree-relevant work experience and want to gain academic credit for the internship.

The internship program is an excellent choice for international students studying in Australia who want to gain experience in a local work environment with an Australian business. It is also open to domestic students.

Have you already graduated? Or does your university not require you to do an internship for academic credit?

No problem. You can apply for the internship program and combine your internship placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

The internship program is coordinated by CareerDC, work experience placement facilitators. We have been helping students get practical work experience for over a decade by connecting them with Australian internship host companies. The internship program will be matched to your internship needs and preferences, including the length, start date and location.

To give you an example, the Information Systems internship host companies include:

  • a software development company that uses AI to develop innovative retail products,
  • an IT company that services small and medium-sized businesses across Australia, and
  • a long-standing company that designs and engineers solutions for the building and automotive industries.

As another example, and depending on your host company, your internship could include any of the following types of tasks and learning experiences:

  • business analysis,
  • handling business documents and plans,
  • creating device frames and workflow,
  • practical application of Figma or other suites of tools,
  • setting up a ticketing system for the IT help desk support,
  • learning about business reporting and professional communication,
  • using Microsoft Azure in a real-work setting,
  • a production cost analysis project,
  • a bill of materials cost review, and
  • learning about time and motion data collection.

Apply now with your resume to learn more about how the internship program works and what is included. The internship program and the placement come with a coordination fee.
