Mechanical Engineering Internship Program - Spring & Summer 2024/2025

CareerDC Internships charge a fee for the coordination of each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable) and support during your internship.

The 12-week Mechanical Engineering Internship Program is designed to help engineering students in Australia gain hands-on industry experience, develop professional skills, and meet degree requirements. It’s open to both domestic and international engineering students studying at Australian universities or colleges.

No worries. You can still enrol in the Mechanical Engineering Internship Program and combine your work experience placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

Depending on your host company, your internship experience could involve tasks like:

• Reviewing quotations and comparing them against specifications, drawings, and scope of work

• Assisting with documentation and transmittals
• Learning how to develop project specifications in collaboration with other engineering disciplines
• Understanding product design and evaluation processes with the product development team
• Supporting project managers and technicians with inspections and functional testing
