CareerDC Internships charge a fee for the coordination of each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable) and support during your internship.

The 12-week Mechanical Engineering Internship Program is designed to help engineering students in Australia gain hands-on industry experience, develop professional skills, and meet degree requirements. It’s open to both domestic and international engineering students studying at Australian universities or colleges.

What if you’ve already graduated?
Or if your degree doesn’t require an internship?

No worries. You can still enrol in the Mechanical Engineering Internship Program and combine your work experience placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

Finding the right internship placement can be time-consuming and stressful, especially if you're juggling studies or part-time work. At CareerDC, we simplify the process by coordinating everything for you, from securing a placement with a local internship host company to providing interview training, CV editing, and ongoing support during your internship. Many students find it difficult to find good internships on their own. Our internship program makes it easy and hassle-free.

Here are examples of the types of companies we partner with:

  • An Australian manufacturer of ocular prosthetic devices
  • A company developing intelligent HVAC solutions
  • A firm providing precision-engineered solutions for the automotive and building industries

Depending on your host company, your internship experience could involve tasks like:

  • Reviewing quotations and comparing them against specifications, drawings, and scope of work
  • Ensuring engineering services meet relevant codes and standards
  • Assisting with documentation and transmittals
  • Learning how to develop project specifications in collaboration with other engineering disciplines
  • Understanding product design and evaluation processes with the product development team
  • Supporting project managers and technicians with inspections and functional testing

Since 2011, CareerDC has been helping students and graduates in Australia secure meaningful, degree-relevant work experience with trusted host companies.
