CareerDC Internships charge a fee for the coordination of each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable) and support during your internship.

The 12-week Mechatronics Engineering Internship Program is designed for students who need study-related work experience and academic credit for the internship.

It’s a good option if you’re an international engineering student in Australia looking for local industry experience with Australian businesses. The internship program is open to domestic engineering students as well.

The internship program and the work experience placement will give you practical industry insights and get you to develop your professional skills in engineering.

Have you already graduated?
Or what if an internship placement is not a requirement of your degree?

Not to worry. You can still enrol in the internship program and combine your placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

The internship program is facilitated by CareerDC. We are a work experience placement coordinator. We help students in Australia get first-hand industry experience by coordinating internship programs and connecting students and new graduates with internship host companies.

To give you some examples, the host companies include:

  • A NSW-based company that customises equipment for the petrochemical and HVAC industries.
  • A company in Victoria that supplies specialised hardware and critical devices to clients in the aerospace and construction industries.
  • An organisation in Western Australia specialising in medical technology.

As another example, and depending on your internship host company, your internship placement could include any combination of the following types of learning experiences:

  • Assisting with manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Gaining an understanding of the manufacturing process in relation to designing a new product.
  • Learning about stress analysis of mechanical components.
  • Hands-on experience in designing prototypes, testing machines and mechanical frameworks and developing algorithms.
  • Assisting with design calculations to optimise robotic systems.
  • Insights into applying principles of machine learning to improve process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with professional engineers and project managers to understand the requirements and scope of robotics projects.

Apply now with your resume and get details on the internship program, how it works and what is included. There is a coordination fee that comes with the internship program and the internship placement.

To apply and to get full details on the program and its components, send your resume to CareerDC.
