Are you an undergraduate currently studying Civil Engineering and looking for professional experience?

We are looking for a Civil Engineering Cadet to join our Infrastructure and Works Team. This opportunity is dedicated for a person living with disability and aligns to Council's commitment to providing meaningful employment opportunities in our Disability inclusion Action Plan.

This is a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic, and supportive environment.  This program is designed to provide comprehensive training and professional development, allowing cadets to work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to real world projects that impact our local community.

When you choose a cadetship with us, you will be guided by an experienced team and develop skills in:

  • asset and construction management
  • various areas of engineering design including civil, structural and geotechnical
  • a wide range of civil, structural and geotechnical construction projects
  • strategic planning in traffic, floodplain and stormwater management

This opportunity is for students who are eligible for entry into the Bachelor of Engineering or applicants who have completed up to one year of full-time study by the end of 2024 academic year. Upon completion, you will have a formal qualification and be job-ready for future employment as a Civil Engineer.

This is a full-time cadetship up to 7 years with an anticipated start date of Monday 3 February 2025. Your salary will be from $1,025.35 per week, plus superannuation
