Title:  Engineering Internship, Temporary - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range:  $23,604.84 to $60,249.24 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

The Capital Projects Business Unit provides a range of capital works program management, project management and design services to the organisation and is committed to providing excellent service to our community.  The service provides timely and accurate advice and strives to use best practice methods while developing new and innovative solutions to problems in an effective and environmentally sustainable manner.

 

The Capital Projects Business Unit delivers projects across a range of assets, including but not limited to:

  • Roads and footpaths
  • Drainage
  • Buildings
  • Parks and recreation

Our opportunity:

The key focus areas of this role include:

 

  1. To assist and design projects in the Capital Projects Team for Council. The tasks involved will include engineering surveying and designing proposed projects which includes footpath, road reconstruction and Traffic facilities, etc.
  2. Liaise with other Business Units to provide concept and construction plans, estimate of works and liaise with Council's Tree Preservation officers and Service Utility Authorities and all stakeholders (including, Council Staff, consultants, and contractors) on a range of project-specific matters.

We’re looking for an Undergraduate Civil Engineering Student to join our Engineering Design and Delivery Team.  You’ll bring a collaborative energy to a team passionate about making a difference to our community.
