About our Aboriginal Graduate Program

We offer a structured 18-month Graduate Program with three diverse rotations across different work areas at Treasury. Treasury’s Aboriginal Graduate Program is designed to enhance and develop your skills; apply your academic learning, continually present challenges and propel your career forward.

During the Aboriginal Graduate Program, you will:

  • be exposed to a range of work teams during three 6-month rotations;
  • expand your professional network across the sector and industry;
  • develop your skills by undertaking interesting work on high-profile projects;
  • continue your development journey with extensive development opportunities; and
  • join other committed young professionals in a supportive network that runs regular social events, community volunteering and involvement, and professional networking.

As a Treasury Graduate Officer, you will be:

The successful candidate will commence the Aboriginal Graduate Program in mid-January 2025. Other suitable applicants will be placed in an appointment pool that will run for a period of 12 months and may be used to fill other similar fixed-term and permanent vacancies.

Am I eligible to apply?

To be considered for our 2025 Aboriginal Graduate Program, you must:

  • have successfully completed a tertiary degree between December 2020 and December 2024; and
  • be available to start the program in mid-January 2025.

  • a current CV (maximum two pages) that summarises your academic and work experience;
  • a copy of your official academic transcript; and
  • names and contact details of two referees who can comment on your skills and abilities relevant to the role. This may be a current or previous work supervisor, or an academic supervisor such as a lecturer or tutor.
