DT Infrastructure brings together global infrastructure and local expertise in transport and infrastructure projects across metropolitan and regional Australia.

The Northern Infrastructure team has been entrusted with the contract to Design, Construction and Commission the Rail maintenance facility and stabling yards at Ormeau, in the Gold Coast region. The Ormeau facility will not only support rail manufacturing and maintenance in Queensland but also contribute to the success of the Cross River Rail project and the upcoming 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.

About the role

We're seeking an Undergraduate Civil Engineer on a casual basis (i.e. minimum 2 days per week) with an interest in developing a career within reputable construction business.

Your responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:

• Provide support to a variety of engineering services at an expected level of competence relevant to your level of study.
• Carry out work as instructed and supervised in relation to engineering investigations, including preparation of plans, estimates and reports and make necessary recommendations.
• Demonstrate quality, traits and attributes that contribute to effectively relate to and identify with peers and superiors.
• Initiate and encourage action which meets or exceeds client expectations
• Participate in learning opportunities as required to maintain and improve key skills and knowledge areas.

About You

• In your third or penultimate year of undergraduate study in Civil Engineering at an Australian university
• Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to effectively manage your time and workload
• A developed knowledge of analytical methods, tools, and principles
