Join our Process Automation sector on the IMI Graduate Programme in Japan and gain unique engineering and commercial experience. In this role, you’ll be learning core engineering or commercial contents with engineering or sales tools and will be tasked with multiple customer projects with a senior guidance and work with other teams including project management, manufacturing, sales, QA etc., which will make you become a successful production engineer / sales engineer. By the end of the programme, you’ll have all the skills needed to grow in your engineering or commercial career.  

You’ll spend two years running and supporting in several areas, on tasks including:

  • Learn engineering tools & processes
  • Review customer specifications
  • Design of standard & custom products
  • Process to design, build and test new products
  • Testing requirements
  • Understand key needs of customers and translate this into product design
  • Experience of working in another country

What you need 

You will need a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent) in a STEM field or business related subject. We’d also like to see some key qualities in our candidates, including:

  • A fresh, innovative approach 
  • Open to new and varied experiences
  • Excellent organisation with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
  • Positive approach and drive to develop
  • Fluent in written and spoken local language
  • We can sponsor Visas for this role
