Position Purpose

Marketing positions create solutions to maximise our value while providing products that improve the lives of people worldwide. It is all about creating the message and getting it into the right hands.

Internships are the primary entry point into a sales and marketing career at Lilly, with many interns having the opportunity to apply for ongoing permanent roles within their preferred team/location.

The Marketing Internship Program is a paid 12 week program for recent university graduates and postgraduate students and for those students who are in their second last year of study.

The programs is focused on giving you hands-on experience and support in selling across multiple disease focus areas, while choosing a unique career path that suits your interests and skills. Join us and gain experiences in:

  • Promoting Lilly's products to health care professionals
  • Conducting analyses on product and market trends
  • Developing and executing territory business plans 
  • Coordinating efforts with territory partners in a team environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Your ability to support the brand team sales targets by promoting products to targeted customers
  • Support brand team for preparation and implementation of major programs and participating events
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members to coordinate and execute programs 
  • Play an active role in communicating with 3rd party vendors including creative agencies.
  • Creating communication and promotional materials in accordance with global and local procedures.

Requirements for the Marketing Internship Program

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or have Australian Permanent Residency status at the time of application
  • You will need to be available to commence full time employment from the 30th of September for the 12-week program
  • The Intern program is based in Sydney. As such you will be living in or willing to relocate to Sydney where the role is based and be willing to cover the cost of relocation if required.

  • Learning agility - to be able to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively deal with a variety of people and challenging situations
