What is the Vacation Program?

Start building your network and skills that will give you the future you want through the PwC Vacation Program!

If you're in your second last (penultimate) year of graduate or postgraduate studies, this program is designed for you. The program runs over four to eight weeks (length will vary across our offices) and includes full-time work experience during the university break.

With market-leading industry experience and world-class learning, a summer spent at PwC can set you up for an exciting future inside or outside our walls!

Your Future Team

In the Actuarial team, you’ll find yourself in a culture that values curiosity, collaboration and critical thinking. Alongside your peers, you’ll create solutions for challenges such as managing financial risk with clients, providing actuarial services, or helping clients navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory environment. You'll use problem-solving, integrity and a growth mindset to make an impact across a range of industries including Banking, Insurance and Financial Services. Along the way, you’ll build relationships and skills to set you up for a lifetime of success.

What will a normal day look like?

  • Work with cross-competency teams, in a highly collaborative and agile manner

  • Provide financial risk management advisory services to clients, such as building or reviewing a range of different quantitative models

  • Use your quantitative and analytical skills to solve important societal problems such as climate-related risks

As a vacationer in Actuarial, you’ll need a degree in Actuarial Studies, Data Science or Mathematics. You’ll also need to be either an AU citizen, NZ citizen, AU Permanent Resident or an international student with a work rights visa.

Our vacationer program dates are December 9, 2024 to January 31, 2025.

Your New Benefits

  • Flexible working arrangements including working from home or from a different PwC Australia base office

  • More opportunities to connect with loved ones, with the ability to work up to four weeks from anywhere in Australia and select international locations

  • Health and lifestyle perks like a wellness credit and discounted memberships

  • More family time with 26 weeks paid parental leave

  • World-class development opportunities to accelerate your career

  • Strong mentors, meaningful work and plenty of networking opportunities
