RSA's Mechanical Engineering department (RKR) has the ability to provide full life cycle structural projects due to it's in-house fabrication capabilities based in Horsley Park. RKR Engineering typically deliver structural steel projects for the rail sector, ranging from custom designed fabrications to design and manufacture of rail plant. As a hands-on operation, candidates will be given the opportunity to work on site with other engineers, supervisors and trade staff. 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Apply academic learning to the workplace environment.

· Support the development of tenders, including detailed scoping, cost estimates, detailed work programs and methodologies.

· Provide technical solutions.

· Prepare various project, safety and quality documents.

· Undertake project financial management, including use of ERP system.

· Spend time in the field supporting project delivery to ensure works are delivered safely to scope and budget.

· Adherence to all codes of practice, standards, regulatory legislation and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

· Care of customer and other stakeholders including supervision of subcontractor services.

· Provide technical advice and engineering support as required.

Selection Criteria:

· Recently completed Bachelor of Engineering degree.

· Previous experience working as an Undergraduate Engineer

· Previous construction/fabrication experience (desirable)

· General awareness of OH&S legislation, including Construction Industry Induction Card

· A high level of computer literacy - use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Projects and other project management software

· Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative

· A high level of computer literacy

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
