The Group Transformation Office (GTO) drives and executes the overall strategic transformation agenda so that the Bank can achieve its target strategic outcomes. The GTO includes Transformation Strategy, Operational Excellence, Delivery Excellence, Design Excellence, Programme Management, and Portfolio Analytics. The office collaborates closely with strategic leaders across the Bank’s businesses and functions to build and drive the Bank-wide transformation.

Our work is broad; we help the Board of Directors and top management to understand key industry trends and their implications, and work directly with the leadership teams in business segments, geographies, and functions to define their strategic priorities and implementation plans.

About the Graduate Programme

You will be supported and launched into a banking career on a global scale through our 18-month graduate programme. During our induction, you’ll meet peers and senior executives from across the Bank, creating networks that will support your career growth.

Our training programme will enable you to develop your technical, business, and interpersonal skills. You’ll get real-world simulations and case studies that will make our training come alive. Future skill development is a key priority across the programme and your career development, as we're committed to changing the way banking works for the better.

At the end of your 18-month programme, you’ll join a role in Transformation Office. These could be in areas such as:

Strategy

  • Operational Excellence
  • Delivery Excellence
  • Design Excellence
  • Portfolio Analytics and Programme Management

What you’ll do over 18 months

Induction – these are classroom sessions, case studies, and tailored technical training split by business functions. 12 months training rotation – you’ll spend twelve months in training rotations to broaden your experience into areas including Strategy, Operational Excellence, Delivery Excellence, or Portfolio Analytics and Programme Management. 6 months business rotation – your last rotation will add to your knowledge of the Group Transformation team. It’s your chance to find the team you fit into best and begin your Standard Chartered career.

Eligibility

  • We welcome students from all degree disciplines and encourage students from diverse backgrounds to apply.
  • Final year students, able to start July 2024
  • Permanent legal right to work in the country you’re applying to
  • We’re looking for team players who are agile, flexible, multi-tasking and open to nimble learning

Exceptions

  • UK and UAE, we consider candidates requiring visa sponsorship. In the UAE, priority is given to UAE nationals
  • US Graduate roles, we will not consider applicants seeking Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) employment.
