Our Summer Internship is an opportunity for penultimate and final year students to get exposure to real world quantitative trading in a world class environment. You will be working out of our stunning, beach front office in Austinmer, NSW. Learn from the best while enjoying your summer holidays with surf and sunshine. If you live out of the area, we'll provide you with comfortable accommodation for the duration of your internship in addition to competitive remuneration.
Key Points:
- 5 week Internship based at Tibra's Austinmer Office (NSW, Australia)
- Dates: 13th January - 14th February 2025
- Open to candidates based in Australia
- Open to penultimate or final year students (graduating in 2025 or 2026)
- Intermediate level programming skills in either Python or C++ are mandatory

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of algorithmic trading strategies
- Analysis of large volumes of real-world financial and price information
- Backtesting and Optimization of algorithms
- Debugging and maintaining our code base
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Studying towards a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or similar
- Computer Science Fundamentals - data structures, algorithms and operating systems
- Programming experience (C++, Python or similar)
- Basic knowledge of options pricing theory, quantitative models and probability theory
- Be a reliable, quick thinker who can work under pressure
