Happy fifth birthday Top100!

We recently hosted our fifth Top100 Graduate Employers and Future Leaders Awards in Sydney, recognising the top employers, students, and universities in Australia.

Each year, we host the annual Top100 Awards event in partnership with Fairfax’s Australian Financial Review, to announce Australia’s Top100 most popular graduate employers based on the user behaviour of students and graduates using GradConnection for their job search.

We also announce our Top100 Future Leaders; high-performing students who we’ve gone through a full graduate recruitment process with us and our recruitment partners, gaining valuable practical experience to prepare them for the real deal once they graduate.

Heartfelt thanks to our Top100 Partners

We couldn’t have pulled off such an amazing event, nor could we have found Australia’s best graduate talent without the help of our amazing Top100 Partners.

We always strive to partner with local suppliers who share our commitment to enhancing the graduate recruitment experience so that it is realistic, valuable, and enjoyable.

We’d like to thank: PushApply, Seek video screen by sparkhire, Arctic Shores, University of Technology Sydney for providing space to hold our assessment centres, Development Beyond Learning, and the incomparable Chandler Macleod for coordinating everything for the student part of the process from the applications to our epic assessment centre.

We went Live at Chandler Macleod’s assessment centres

Speaking of assessment centres, this year we went Live with Chandler Macleod to share the assessment centre experience with job-hunting students and graduates at home. Preparing for assessment centres is a challenge for most, so we wanted to shed light on a typical AC, bust some myths, and answer some of those common questions like, What will I be asked? Who will be there? What will they ask me to do?

If you missed it, or you’re mid-recruit and you’d like to help your candidates better prepare for your AC events, you can check it out again on our Facebook page.

Unravelling the night

Those in the graduate recruitment industry sure know how to let their hair down, connect with peers, trade secrets, and, well, enjoy themselves. Following the hashtag #GCTop100 on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn  during the awards was a testament to that!

We’d like to thank our entertainers for helping us make the night extra special: Jack Shepherd, Imogen Spong, and Cara Jane Diffey.

The Australian Financial Review have also published a magazine lift out of the Top100 Employers, and a run through of graduate recruitment industry and employment trends. Make sure you get your hands on the paper or check the list on their website. If you missed out on grabbing a copy of the print magazine, contact us as we do have a number of copies we can send out.
