Our Graduate Program  

The Ausgrid Graduate Program commences in late January 2025 and paves the way for our Graduates to develop and thrive in their careers, with access to experienced leaders, mentors, accelerated development opportunities and networking.  

Across the two-year program, you will work on high-impact projects, with rotations across different parts of our business to provide you with a breadth of experiences and development opportunities to build a successful career. 

Engineering  

Ausgrid has a diverse team of over 500 Engineers all actively engaged in analysing, planning, designing and operating Australia’s largest electricity distribution network. We have been a leader in our field, powering the east coast for over a century, and are seeking Engineering graduates to help us continue that legacy. 

As a Graduate Engineer with Ausgrid, you will learn from world-class Engineers and experienced multidisciplinary designers who oversee our network of high-voltage substations, transmission, and distribution systems. You will also work with our regulatory and innovation teams to engage in the development of new network commercial models, cutting-edge technology in protection and control, and other exciting emerging areas such as Electrical Vehicle charging infrastructure and community batteries.  

Technology 

Our Technology function has over 300 specialists engaged in designing, building and supporting a suite of applications and solutions that enable our teams to manage and maintain our network; support our partners who are providing energy services to consumers; and advise our customers through the digital services we provide to help them optimise their energy consumption.    

As a Technology Graduate with Ausgrid, you will learn from our leading technology specialists and partners. You will also work with our Cyber Security and Technology Innovation teams as you experience all facets of Technology delivery: from innovation, through design and build, to support and maintenance. 

Ausgrid is interested in hearing from graduates who have a focus on Software Engineering or Cyber Security, either as their primary qualification or a specialisation within another field of study. 

Eligibility 

  • You are currently in your final year of an Engineering or Technology degree, or have graduated within the last 3 years. 
  • At the time of application, candidates must hold Australian/New Zealand citizenship or Permanent Residency of Australia.  
  • Valid driver's license may be required.  
  • Roles on the Graduate Program will commence in late January 2025.
