Program Overview

The Ausgrid Graduate program commences in late January 2024 and paves the way for our Graduates to perform, develop and thrive in their careers, with access to senior leaders, mentors, accelerated development opportunities and networking.

Across the two-year program, you will work on high-impact projects directly delivering against our business strategy. A minimum of 4 rotations in the program will offer you a breadth of experiences, work, and knowledge to aid in building the foundations for a successful career.

As a Health & Safety Graduate, you will have exposure to different areas of the business which may include Operational H&S, H&S Systems, Assurance & Reporting, Health & Wellbeing, Workers Compensation, and Critical Control Management.

Our program delivers on providing extensive experience in a top tier self-insured business, whilst being coached and mentored by senior leaders. Working with our leaders and key stakeholders, you will develop your skills and experience across dynamic Health & Safety projects and initiatives. By playing your role in these key deliverables, you will ultimately be a part of protecting the safety of our employees, contractors, and communities so that everyone acts, feels and is safe in line with our value Work Safe, Live Safe.

Your key focus will be centred around integrating health and safety into our wider business processes, establishing shared leadership behaviours, and developing a prevention way of thinking, including risk identification and control. 

Eligibility​

  • You have completed your relevant University degree in the last 2 years or will have completed it before the program commencing in January 2024.​
  • Aligned degrees include Occupational Health & Safety and/or Workplace Health & Safety
  • Applicants with double degrees are actively encouraged to apply. ​
  • At the time of application candidates must hold Australian/New Zealand citizenship or Permanent Residency ​
  • Valid driver's license may be required ​
  • Roles will commence in January 2024
