The Environmental Internship Program is a great option for students and recent graduates who want to experience real tasks and get practical work experience in Environmental Management.

If you have already graduated or if an internship is not a study requirement, you can still apply for an Environmental Internship Program and combine it with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program. 

The internship program is set up to help you gain practical work experience with an Australian company and help you to prepare for the professional world awaiting you after graduation. 

The internship program will be adapted so that it will match your internship requirements and preferences. 

To give you some examples, the Environmental Internship host companies include:

• a specialised environmental consulting firm, and
• a sustainability NGO. 

As another example, and depending on your host company, your internship could include getting experience in:

• assessing contaminated sites,
• preparing environmental impact assessments and approvals,
• monitoring compliance,
• assisting with tasks related to the circular economy, energy and climate, and redefining value.
