ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We have an exciting graduate opportunity for an energetic and suitably qualified (or near qualified) individual. Reporting to the Coordinator Development Assessment, you will be responsible for the assessment and processing of development applications, and for the provision of advice and support to meet community needs and to achieve planning outcomes.

In this role you will have the opportunity to be mentored by professionals in a fast-paced working environment. 

To be successful you will bring

  • Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
  • Recent or substantial completion of tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related field.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven competency with the Microsoft Office suite, namely Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team that has a focus on delivering quality customer service within set timeframes.

The rewards

  • An annual salary range of $66,400 to $85,900 (plus 11% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
