Financial Accountant

Residential - Tom Price | Full time Indicative annual package range $167,479.89 - $174,983.49 negotiable, dependent on skills and experience. The Shire of Ashburton has an opportunity for a Financial Accountant professional to join our team. In this busy and challenging role, you will be responsible for providing financial accounting information and reporting, whilst overseeing the day-to-day financial transaction team ensuring the provision of accurate, timely and high-quality financial services. To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar role and be able to balance a busy schedule in a deadline driven environment. You will need demonstrated experience in end-to-end financial management including budgeting processes, financial controls, governance controls and analysis and reporting in line with legislative requirements in a complex Local Government organisation. A Tertiary Degree in Accounting is essential for this role. In addition, if you hold a professional membership with a recognised professional accounting body (CA/CPA) that would be an advantage.
