As an Inventory graduate, you will be working with an integral team for Kmart and Target that is responsible for ensuring that we have the right products in the right place at the right time (and in the right quantities).

This is such an exciting time to join our highly regarded Inventory team as we really transform our approach to inventory management, using advanced systems, data, and analytics to anticipate trends and fine-tune inventory levels to maximize sales and drive optimized inventory outcomes. 

You will be at the center of the action and will have the opportunity to learn about demand and supply, ensuring our shelves are stocked just right to meet customer demand while also reducing excess stock and delivering inventory profitability for the business. From forecasting trends to implementing efficient fulfilment strategies through ordering and allocations, every day brings new challenges and opportunities! 

About the program

Commencing in February 2025, our 18-month program consists of several rotations within the Inventory function and will see you working closely with key stakeholders across Merchandise, Supply Chain, and our Store Operations teams, to influence product range strategy and support decisions that directly influence the success of the business and the satisfaction of our amazing customers.

During the program, you will take part in practical and meaningful work that has a huge impact on our customers and will allow you to grow your career through a personalized learning program. You’ll be fully supported along this journey and work alongside and learn from experts in the industry. 

About you

We’re looking for graduates to join the team who are driven, curious and bring a continuous improvement mindset! Ideally, you will have a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance or similar. Retail knowledge or experience would be highly advantageous.

To be successful as an Inventory graduate, you’ll also need to be detail-focused, enjoy problem solving, have an analytical mindset, have data modelling and interpretation capabilities and be well versed in Microsoft Excel.

To be eligible for our 2025 program you’ll:

  • Have either Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent residency (at the time of submitting this application)
  • Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the past 3 years (i.e. 2022, 2023 or 2024) or are due to complete your degree by the end of January 2025
  • Be able to commence full time employment in Melbourne in February 2025
