TAL's Group Life & Investments teams provide access to life insurance through superannuation for around 5-million Australians.  This makes group insurance one of the most accessible and affordable ways for Australians to access valuable life insurance.  

The Group Life & Investment team has three main functions – Partnerships, Product, Pricing & Portfolio Management and Member Engagement & Innovation.  

As a Graduate on the Group Life Program, you will develop broad and diverse business and leadership skills that will enable you to successfully operate as a leader across any financial services organisation.

What you will do: 

As a Group Life and Investments Graduate within TAL, you will be responsible for supporting and collaborating with the Group Life and Investment teams on analytical tasks, development of reports and presentations and apply commercial thinking to optimise outcomes for TAL and our superfund partners. 

Having exposure to Australia’s superfunds, some of the largest in the world, you could be working on the following:

  • Supporting TAL deliver Partnership Excellence through every interaction with superfunds partners.
  • Bring innovative thinking to how we engage, contract, and deliver on our promises to superfunds and their members.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of member solutions that provide financial protection throughout Australians’ lives and into retirement.
  • Support the monitoring and reporting of fundamental commercial and risk management activities expected of Australia’s leading life insurer.
  • Learn about developing and executing on B2B institutional partnerships and transactions that are value creating for both companies and customers.

  • We are looking for graduates from all disciplines but specifically those who have a passion for developing business acumen, and leadership skills within a leading Australian Life Insurance Business.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-rounded background with experience across community and/or extra-curricular activities.
  • Curious mindset, a willingness to learn how things work and a passion for making things better.
  • Interest in roles that not only embrace analytical skills but are also commercial and customer focused.
  • Leadership qualities developed through high school, university, work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
  • Initiative and drive, together with the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.

Who can apply:

  • The program starts in February 2024 by which time you must be an Australian citizen, a Permanent Resident of Australia or hold a 485 Sub-Class Visa, and willing to undergo references and background checks as required.
  • Completion of an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in the last 2 years or by the end of 2023.
