Posted by Daniel Purchas

The FEMA awards a.k.a. The Fairfax Employment Marketing Awards were held in Sydney last Friday night on the 17th of September. I figured it might be worth writing up a brief post on this as there are a range of direct employers as well as recruitment marketing agencies that are actively involved in the Graduate Recruitment scene so here we go.

Seeing as a lot of graduate recruiters around Australia are planning their campaigns for next year at the moment, this category could be useful to scope out some potential recruitment marketing agencies to help you design your creative for your 2011 campaign. The finalists this year were:

  • Adcorp Australia
  • Blaze Advertising
  • HainesAttract
  • The Face Euro RSCG

And the winner is: The Face Euro RSCG The Face takes out this award category for the 2nd year in a row having won this award last year.

Some Honourable Mentions

Winner of the Best Employer Brand 2010 Telstra

  • Agency: Adcorp
  • Campaign: Australia's Great Employer

The overall best employer brand went to Telstra this year, and this branding has flowed through nicely into their graduate campaign as well with a range of graduate profile videos and other creative content. Winner of the Best Corporate or Onsite HR Team Atlassian Atlassian may not be a company you have heard of before but in the circles we hang out in, Australia's start-up community, Atlassian is already a legendary company being locally founded and now reaching a global market. This award was based around their 32 campaign where the business was looking to bring on 32 software developers in a short timeframe which gained a lot of PR in recruitment circles for a variety of reasons such as their highly conditional open door policy for recruitment agencies and the showcasing of their employee benefits. Hopefully all this info helps you to get your thinking caps on while planning your campaigns for next year and if you want an introduction to any of the agencies outlined on this post, let us know as we have connections at all of them.
