We're growing, meet Murad our new starter...

What's been happening at GradConnection?

We're over 2 years old now and gone from 0 employers on our site to over 70 and it's only going to keep going up! So to make sure we can handle our own growth and give all our graduate employers the best service possible we've had to take on an Account Manager. We've very excited to introduce Murad Mekhtiev who some of you may already know as he's been working in the graduate recruitment industry running the Australian operations at AIESEC, the worlds largest student run organisation over the past year.

Meet Murad

Hi! If you're reading this, pleased to meet you. My name is Murad Mekhtiev, and I've recently come on board with Gradconnection. So you may be wondering who this new kid in town is. Here's a little about me:

  • I'm originally from Russia and lived in the US when I was a kid. I still have a pseudo American twang that I can't get rid of (I say 'to-may-toh' not 'to-mah-to')
  • I have spent 4 months in Vietnam and tried to learn how to ride a motorbike
  • I am toward the very end of an arts / law degree at Monash Uni
  • I worked over the past year in Sydney working on the national team of AIESEC - a student organisation that facilitates international internships. My specialty was sales and business development.

So what do I do at Gradconnection? I am an Account Manager, which means that my role is to help manage and look after some of GradConnection's current employers and to also go out there and bring on some new ones. If you're working in an HR team at a major graduate employer, then you'll be seeing me around the place! I enjoy my work because the company is so young and dynamic. The website is such a great product that it really sells itself - so my job is really all about communicating that to organisations and helping them achieve their recruitment goals.

Look out for Murad at the AAGE

If you're attending the AAGE conference this year make sure you stop by our stand and say hi to the latest team member (as well as the rest of us ofcourse).
