At GradConnection, we’re continually striving to provide our university partners with opportunities to capitalize on global recruiting trends and develop meaningful connections with top employers. This year’s annual International Students Employability Summits, now in their third year, present a unique opportunity for career services professionals from across the globe to come to Shanghai and Hong Kong to build their knowledge of the growing Asian employment markets, network with regional employers and gain useful insights on recruiting strategies and timelines.

This year’s Summits have been redesigned with the goal of providing more opportunities to learn from leading knowledge experts and develop a network of industry connections. To this end, we’ve added site visits with local employers where attendees will learn how local companies recruit and retain talent. Participants will also learn from the insights of recently hired international returnees who successfully navigated the job search. Attendees will also benefit from learning and engaging with several knowledge experts who are widely recognized for their expertise on global economic and recruiting trends.

We’re keenly aware that with global international student enrollment at its highest level ever, institutions and other stakeholders expect career services leaders to provide international students with more support and access to opportunities. This is why we structured the Summits to serve as a forum for career services leaders to exchange ideas and discuss challenges and solutions around employability. We want participants to envision ways of leading their institution’s employability efforts - to go beyond the surface and create purposeful international engagement and networks. The newly envisioned International Students Employability Summits aim to do just that. So come join the international employability movement with us!
