About the Role

In this role, you will be contributing to the development and maintenance of our infrastructure and application automation solutions in AWS and Google Cloud. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Cloud Engineering.

Role Responsibilities

• Work alongside senior engineers to implement and maintain AWS and/or GCP infrastructure and platforms for the organisation.
• Execute automation patterns and designs and suggest ways to improve quality and efficiency.
• Help ensure platform performance, uptime, and scale.
• Approach problems in a way that maintains high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.
• Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
• Write technical documentation and showcase outcomes within and outside the team.
• Develop and maintain cloud platforms in accordance with our risk frameworks.
• Develop and maintain automated monitoring to ensure workload teams remain compliant.

Desired Criteria

• Keen interest in cloud environments (AWS or GCP preferred).
• Personal or academic experience of building cloud services.
• Familiarity with Linux as well as scripting languages - Python is preferred but other languages are also welcome.
• Eagerness to learn new skills and technologies.
• Appreciation of the importance of security concepts.

This role will amount to $65,000 plus superannuation for a Graduate working full-time for 12 months.
