About the Role

Join a software team that is embracing leading-edge technologies to drive the software platforms used with Agilent's world-leading products to the cloud and beyond! This role offers the right candidate an opportunity to work with C#, JavaScript and Angular as we develop a next-generation software platform for our instruments that embraces web-based application delivery, data analytics and enterprise data systems. Get experience in Amazon Web Services, continuous integration and deployment and a range of solution elements that will give you a solid, practical underpinning to your studies.

Responsibilities

Developing the software that supports and drives the use of scientific instruments for our end users. You will be exposed to the complete software development life cycle and will attend multiple cross functional meetings to get a well-rounded experience.

As part of the software and quality engineering teams, you’ll also be working with other project stakeholders such as:

• Firmware engineers

• Marketing

• Product support

• Chemists/applications engineers

• Electronic and Mechanical Engineers

You will learn about:

• Agile Scrum

• Software development lifecycle (SDLC)

• Programming in C#, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript and Angular

• Test automation using TestComplete and Playwright

• Continuous integration

Desired Qualifications

• Currently undertaking a related bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering

• Must be able to work on-site, full-time for 12 months

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team
